Walnut Vegan Cheese Simple Recipe

Choosing to follow a vegan diet and worrying about the taste of foods like cheese can be tough, at the same time, buying vegan cheese from the store is expensive, a small slice of vegan cheese wrapped in plastic that we're going to throw away, so what is the solution ? I've tried to make vegan cheese at home more than five times before deciding to share it on YouTube (watch the video instead) and here in my blog, by making your own vegan cheese at home then you're wasting less, saving money and enjoying the taste of cheesy foods!
To start you need to choose your favorite kind of nuts, I'll be using walnut because I like it's texture and taste, it's affordable too, but it's up to you to choose.

Next step is to put the walnut in water for a few hours, if you're planning to make this recipe tomorrow then you can put the walnut in water for 24 hours (recommended) , if you want to make the recipe now then I prefer to put it in hot water for a few hours.

What you need to do now is to boil the walnuts in water until it looks like cooked, usually that takes 10-15 minutes, this step is important to make sure that you're going to get a texture that looks like cheese, if you're following a raw vegan diet then you can skip this step.

While waiting for the walnut to be cooked, you can start preparing your favorite spices that you like to add to this cheese in a little bowl.
The spices that I've added: Nutritional yeast (recommended) , dried thyme leaves, pizza seasoning, a little bit of black pepper + salt , corn scratch.
• The delicious and cheesy taste of nutritional yeast can help to add the flavour that you're looking for, it's also a good source for vitamin B12 that can't be found in other vegan foods.

My favorite step next, blending, let's blend everything together!
After the walnut is ready and cooked, let it cool down and then add it with the spices to the blender, also add the water that you've used to boil the walnut into the blender, and start blending it until it's all done.

You're done, enjoy your vegan cheese. :)
